Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation Wear Test

I attended the Lancôme Masterclass at Sandton City and was matched to my Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation. During the Masterclass I was matched to shade 032. The foundation looked perfect after it was match and for the remainder of the day.

I was really excited to trial and test the foundation by wearing it everyday last week. I tested it with moisturizer and primer

With this information in hand lets start the journey

Day 1

I struggle with red undertone on my skin and have been using the Green Clarins SOS Primer. This corrective primer contains green pigment that diminish the look of redness. The primer balance and smooths my skin. I then applied the  Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation. The foundation look great until I was on my way to work and I looked in the mirror and got the biggest fright of my life. Oh my word…. I looked like “Rudolph the red nose reindeer”.  I was having anxiety, how can I go to work looking like a clown!

Day 2

I decided to change the routine up. I was very confused how bad the foundation looked the previous day. All I was thinking is it must be my routine. Why did it not look like this on Saturday? So on Tuesday I decided to do my normal skin care routine and add Serum. Thinking that was the trick. My day was so hectic I did not even take note my foundation. Terrible blogger me hey after Monday fail!

Day 3

This day started of terrible and just progressively became worse. When I got out the bath (washed my hair) and I sat down at the dressing table to get ready. The municipality decided that we do not need power. It was still dark and my hair was wet. I opened the curtains got ready by natural light. I decided not to put any primer on. My skin looked great despite the hair. Here’s  me hoping that my makeup will distract from my hair.

I was working off site at a client that particular day. My youngest son was not writing prelims so my husband and I decided to travel together. It was so nice to have some adult conversation in the car. However this was very short lived. I am not sure if you are familiar with Johannesburg,  I take the N17  and then merge onto the M2 West.  I stopped at the robot that takes me onto the M2. Elderly gentleman was walking past my car, he looked in his early 50 looking like he on his way to work.

Normally vigilant, I watched him he walked past my car and when he got to the back he came back to my window. He showed towards my back wheel. I opened the window. This was the biggest mistake I have every made in my life. I am still struggling with my decision. He started strangling me with his one hand and was ripping my costume jewelry off with the other hand. It all happened so fast, all I can remember is the fear, his cold hands and then I saw him running away.

I cried all my foundation off and that was the end of my foundation so once again I cannot report on Wednesday.

Day 4

I took a break from makeup.

Day 5

So Friday rolled around. I decided to do my normal skin care routine and apply the foundation without a primer. Success the foundation looked amazing, flawless and matte.

Final Though

When I finally manage to figure out how to apply it to my skin it looked flawless and matte for the entire day. I really love the Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation.
