Lush Cosmetics Review

I received a surprise parcel at work, or let me say I was told something was coming my way but I had no idea that it is a surprise from Lush Cosmetics. I was super excited when I received the parcel but confused beyond words when the card read.

Dear Ilona,  Enjoy your Blooming Beautiful gift! Just in time for spring. Have a fab week Love from Vic”

I messaged the friend who said she was sending me a gift thinking that she added the name “Vic” to stay anonymous. The reason for thinking this is a story for another day. I messaged her asking her if she can tell me where the parcel was coming from. She confirmed it was Lush parcel and even more exciting she included my favorite “Sex Bomb”.

History of Bath Bombs

Lush co-founder Mo Constantine invented the original bath bomb. A was simple, but gentle blend of sodium bicarbonate, citric acid and other beautiful ingredients turned baths into fun, soothing havens.

The Lush Bath bombs currently still retain the original basic blend that Mo created but started with, but to create the kind of #BathArt you see today, Lush had re-invent the Bath Bombs. The multi-layered bath bombs create a lovely fizz in the water but as they quickly (or slowly, in some cases) go to work, they reveal a spectacle of color, popping fizz, flower petals and so much more for a bathing experience like no other.

How to Choose your #BathArt

No matter which bath bomb you choose, you’ll emerge from the tub feeling relaxed, smelling delightful with your skin super soft and luxurious. Knowing that, you might simply want to choose a bath bomb for its ability to entertain or mesmerize you. So go forth beauties and order one of these delicious beautiful bath bombs from the Lush website or you can visit  a store  click here

Sex Bomb

Feeling tired, stressed out and anxious the sex bomb gives you some sensual healing. It has a fragrant blend of jasmine, ylang ylang and clary sage will soon have you relaxed. Jasmine is an ancient aphrodisiac, used as a sensual perfume in India for centuries and in aromatherapy to ease stress and anxiety. Clary sage clears the mind, while ylang ylang is renowned for soothing worries.

The aroma is beautiful as the bath bomb slowly fizzes in the bath. Once the Bath Bomb is completely dissolved you have the most exquisite pink flower floating on the water. Retails for R64.50 click here

Sakura Bath Bomb

Described on the Lush website as a celebration of spring, bursting into a floral fragrance. Inspired by the cherry blossom in Japan, this pretty bomb is designed to evoke the burst of optimism the first sign of spring brings. Calming mimosa and jasmine oils are complemented by lemon oil and orange flower to bring to mind the smell of this colourful season. Skaura retails for R64.50 click here
